I've been continuing the decluttering process, eager to get everything into my friend's garage sale. This morning I decluttered behind the chairs, and said goodbye to some things that caused a momentary pang, but if they've been behind those chairs for 2 years, it's time for them to go. Then I dragged out the things that were under my bed, embarrassed myself with the amount of dust that was on them, added some to the garage sale and some to the trash and kept a few (saying to some of them, "So *that's* where you've been!). Then I made a first pass under the bed with the little vacuum. More embarrassing dust. Feng Shui practitioners everywhere are pleased with me. So am I.
Earlier this afternoon, the Outbox looked like this (Outbox proper and Outbox Annex):
My wonderful friend (she of the garage sale and the big trash receptacle behind her house) came over later this afternoon. This is what is left, after she filled her car, backseat, passenger side of the front seat, and trunk:
Nothing in the Outbox proper: (The walker was Mum's. I'm keeping it. The box was just to keep things off the floor.)
Not much left in the Outbox Annex: (my friend will get it another time)
That feels so GOOD!!! This weekend I'll be "decluttering" the harddrive of my old computer, before it, too, goes to a new home.
Progress, real progress, has been made.

Fantabulous. Wow. Is there anything left for you to do, now? How will you continue with the Cure? I am so proud of you! What you are doing isn't easy--but, oh, what a wonderful home you are making for yourself.
ReplyDeleteI have all sorts of stuff to put away now! And I want to re-organize the furniture in the living room... I'll find stuff to do, never fear!
ReplyDeleteThis Cure came along at exactly the right moment for me. Thank you so much, Alana!!!!
Huzzah! What a difference! I can't wait to see what you come up with now that you've got room to rearrange things.
