Alana just posted that she's going to be doing her own version of the Spring Cure for houses/apartments. Anyone who knows me knows that the concept of "Cure" is music to my ears. (Anyone who doesn't know the concept of an 8-week apartment Cure a la Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan of Apartment Therapy is urged to read Alana's post.)
I am currently in the throes (or is that THROWS) of finally dealing with all the stuff accumulated by my parents in many years of living. Although I have much more to do in the storage room and writing room than in the other rooms of the apartment, each room needs to have attention paid to it.
So I'm "officially" joining with Alana in her version of the Spring Cure. I may vary from the proscribed order of things at times, so that I can deal with what needs to be dealt with in my apartment, but I know from past experience that the support garnered from having even a small group doing "Cure" activities together online is invaluable.
So, let the Curing begin! (Oh gosh. Does that mean "Before" pictures?)
I think I'm in too. And Before pictures are always required (because I'm nosy)! Also for once because I just posted mine (unintentionally). I might pick one room, just because that's all I have the budget for right now. So glad to be hearing from you again!
ReplyDeleteI won't be doing much in the way of redecorating, just a LOT of decluttering. A lot. I've done the major redecorating already (different pictures on the walls than Mum & Dad had up, that kind of thing) because it was easier than decluttering!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're aboard, too.
Yeehaw, let the curing begin! Yes, we need before pictures, scb--I for one don't know what this apartment looks like at all.
ReplyDeleteThat's right, none of you has "been" here, have you? The last cure was in my previous apartment. Before pictures will be taken tomorrow, when there's more light. (Thankfully, I have done quite a bit in the last two weeks, or the before pics would be truly embarrassing!)
