Blake Edwards, 1922-2010

A man I admired so very, very much has died. It's hard to realize as yet, but Blake is gone. He'll be remembered for his great genius in comedy, in film, in writing. I hope he'll also be remembered as one who could light up his wife's eyes with just the thought of him, as one who was deeply loved, and who will be very deeply missed.

Rest in peace, Blake. May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

  1. Thanks for posting, scb. When I heard the news this morning, I first thought of Ms. Andrews and then of you. {hugs}. I think we just might rent the pink panther movies and watch them this weekend in his honour.

  2. Thanks, Alana. {hugs back} It's been a rough couple of days.

Watching the Pink Panther and laughing is an excellent way to pay tribute to Blackie!

He's likely looking down thinking "Come on, people, lighten up!" (and he likely has those flights of angels singing him to his rest throwing pies in each other's faces).
