A, B, C, D, E, F,.... MEME!

First of all, before I get to the meme, I want to thank you for your very interesting and thoughtful comments on my "Read to Me" post. What wonderful stories you tell! Thank you so much!

And now the meme, found on LauraLynne's blog (min/min). I love a good meme... (oh, you'd noticed?)

A – Age: 52

B – Bed Size: double, although now they call it standard, obviously so that those of us sleeping single in a double bed won't feel so alone...

C – Chore you hate: cleaning the bathroom.

D – Dog’s name: no dog. There's a dog in the novel I'm writing just now, though. His name is Olivier (named after Lord Laurence).

E – Essential start your day item: alarm clock. Otherwise, I'd still be sleeping.

F – Favorite color: Red, or cobalt blue.

G – Gold or Silver: Gold. Although I'd accept ingots of silver if you were to offer them to me.

H – Height: 5′1″ I'd like to say 5'2" and 1/16", but that doesn't seem to be true any longer. Actually, I'd like to say 5'7" but that would be an out and out lie.

I – Instruments you play(ed): piano, organ, guitar (a little), violin (a little, and haven't played for several years)

J – Job title: Monographs Supervisor. Hmm...I supervise books??? No, when I'm at work, I supervise the ordering process for all single-item orders (i.e. not subscriptions) in our library.

K – Kid(s): No.

L – Living arrangements: apartment

M – Mom’s name: Mum

N – Nicknames: I don't seem to have nicknames these days (except online ones). My mum used to call me Suzy when I was growing up (after deciding not to name me Susan, so that people wouldn't call me Suzy...)

O – Overnight hospital stay other than birth: Trachea bronchitis at 6 months, pneumonia at age 6 (back when one was actually hospitalized for pneumonia), tonsillectomy at age 8, something-or-other at age 12, etc.

P – Pet Peeve: People who spit on the sidewalk (that's just one of many pet peeves)

Q – Quote from a movie: "Never assume." (from "Desk Set", said by Spencer Tracy to Katherine Hepburn).

R – Right or left handed: right

S – Sports – Is singing a sport? Oh. Um, I like to watch equestrian sports, and baseball... but participating??? (A quote from Julie Andrews' memoir, Home, about the girls at the school she attended for a time, "Everyone else was so 'jolly hockey sticks' and hearty..." I (scb) was never the 'jolly hockey sticks' type.)

T – Time you wake up: 7:15 (because the clock radio makes me...)

U- Underwear: You betcha.

V – Vegetable you dislike: Brussels sprouts.

W – Ways you run late: Thinking "I have time to type this post... or this comment... before I go"

X – X-rays you’ve had: Chest, kidneys, ankle (just torn ligaments), pelvis (broken), this and that

Y – Yummy food you make: Orange-ginger chicken

Z – Zoo favorite: Lions, tigers, and penguins (oh my)
